Dr. Nickel joined ENTAAF in 2025 after serving in the United States Air Force for 4 years at Eglin Air Force Base. He completed his undergraduate training at Southern Methodist University with a bachelors in mechanical engineering and following this attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He completed his residency training at the University of Florida in 2021 and has been proud to call Florida home for the last 9 years. Dr. Nickel is board certified in Otolaryngology and is a member of the Emerald Coast Medical Association. Some of Dr. Nickel’s areas of areas of interest include:

• General otolaryngology, including pediatric conditions
• Sinus disease treatment, traditional and balloon techniques
• Chronic rhinitis
• Nasal airway surgery
• Thyroid and parathyroid surgery
• Voice and swallowing disorders
• Hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo
• Benign and malignant lesions of the head and neck
• Salivary gland disorders and masses

Outside of work he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys classic cars and acquiring new languages.
