  Curtis Johnson DO

Dr. Johnson has been in private practice in South Florida since 1991. He joined the nation’s largest Otolaryngology group, ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, in 2008. Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from Southeastern University of Health Sciences - College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986 and completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Beaumont Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology and is active in the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, American Medical Association, Network of Florida Otolaryngologists, Florida Medical Association and Broward County Medical Association.

Dr. Johnson has held numerous leadership positions in the local hospital and ambulatory surgery center community, including Florida Medical Center, Plantation General Hospital, Westside Regional Medical Center, Outpatient Surgical Services and Coral Springs Surgical Center. He maintains privileges at Westside Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Johnson was selected by his peers in Otolaryngology as "Otolaryngologist of the Year" in the State of Florida in 2020 (read more here).

Dr. Johnson has participated in numerous clinical trials – primarily in the field of rhinology – as the principal investigator. He has published several articles in the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery; Ear, Nose and Throat Journal; Journal of Osteopathic College of Ophthamology and Otorhinolaryngology and The American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Johnson's area of expertise focuses on the treatment of nasal and sinus disorders. He performs a comprehensive physical examination and has in-office CT scanning available. Allergy testing and immunotherapy are available to his patients. Dr. Johnson offers cutting-edge technology to his patients for the treatment of nasal and sinus disorders in the comfort of an office setting. These procedures are performed under local anesthesia, avoiding general anesthesia and all the side effects associated with it. This approach allows for a faster recovery and patients can return to work the next day.

Dr. Johnson maintains privileges at Coral Springs Medical Center and Westside Regional Medical Center.
