Lee M. Mandel, MD, FACS, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with acceptance into Phi Beta Kappa his junior year. He went on to graduate in the top 5 of his medical school class, earning acceptance into Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society a year early, as well as being named President of that prestigious organization. Dr. Mandel completed his residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City after which he was chosen for a coveted Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under the tutelage of Dr. Ferdinand F. Becker, a pioneer in cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgery.

Dr. Mandel has earned numerous awards and distinctions and is Board Certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Mandel has held posts as a member of the Young Physicians Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Head and Neck Trauma Committee Delegate at Memorial Regional Hospital, Chief of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery at Weston Outpatient Surgery Center. Dr. Mandel is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the American Rhinologic Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Voice Foundation.

As a faculty member of the Open Forum, the annual international conference under the auspices of the Foundation for Innovation, Education and Research in Otolaryngology since its inception, Dr. Mandel has distinguished himself as a thought leader in his specialty, and currently sits on the planning committee alongside some of the country’s most respected head and neck surgeons. He has also been the Official Sinus and Allergy Specialist and Official Facial Reconstructive Surgeon for the Florida Panthers NHL Hockey Team from 2004 - 2012, and Official Professional Voice Consultant for the Office Depot Center, BankAtlantic Center and the BB&T Center since 2004.

Dr. Mandel has been in private practice since 1996 and founded the South Florida Sinus and Allergy Center, Inc., which has set standards for care and treatment of Sinus and Allergy Disorders. Dr. Mandel joined ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida in January 2013.
